Mrs. Dorothy Jo Richardson Temples, 95, of Bio Lane, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on September 15, 1926 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Richardson and Lillie Gaines Richardson. Mrs. Temples was employed with the Hartwell Company as a seamstress and an assembly line worker with Monroe Automotive.She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church, where she helped with various events.

Survivors include one daughter: Joy T. Rousey of Royston; two sons: Jerry Temples, Ronnie Temples both of Hartwell; one sister: Mary Bryson of Hartwell; one brother: Harold Richardson of Canon; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Temples was preceded in death by her husband: George S. Temples; one son: Randy Temples; one granddaughter: Schancie Temples; two brothers: William Richardson, Broadus Richardson; five sisters: Helen Richardson, Nancy R. Seymour, Betty R. Cartee, Ethel R. Milford and Genie R. Chappelear.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jo Temples will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Eric Moran officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.
