Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Lukhard "Dot" Benson, 93, of 45 Walnut Dr., Hartwell, died Sunday, June 8 at Hart Co. Hospital.
Born on September 14, 1914 in Ashland VA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Lukhard and Lillian Pearl Bagby Lukhard.She was a homemaker, member of the Madora Garden Club, Hartwell First Baptist Church, Ruth SS Class, former SS teacher and choir member.
Survivors include her daughters: Barbara B. Burch of Buford and Jacquelyn D. Kenley of San Francisco CA; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband: John Milton "Jack" Benson and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Richard Bielski officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home – Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends after the services.The family is at their respective homes.
