Mrs. Dorothy Lee "Dot" White Fowler, 78, of North Forest Ave, Hartwell, passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at her home.
Born on January 4, 1941 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Columbus White and Cora Bailey White.Mrs. Fowler retired from Bellcraft, where she was an inspector.She was also a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church where she served on the Fellowship & Benevolence committee, sang in the choir, helped with Vacation Bible School, WMU, Senior Adult Coordinator and also helped in cleaning the church.
Survivors include her husband: Roy R. Fowler; two sons: Donnie Fowler (Tami), Tony Fowler; one daughter: Sandra Thompson (David) all of Hartwell; six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by a daughter: Debra Ann Fowler and daughter-in-law: Sheila Teasley Fowler.Mrs. Fowler was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by five brothers: George White, Joe White, Gary White, Curt White, Jim White and three sisters: Ruby McCoy, Emma Simpson and Margie Richardson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dot Fowler will be held Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Cleveland and Mr. Jerry Wicker officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Oak Bower Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 1589 Old 29 Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643.
