Obituary
Mr. George Douglas "Doug" Madden, 74 of Wayne Circle, Hartwell, died Thursday, January 8, 2014 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
Born on August 19, 1940 in Anderson SC, he was the son of the late Jake Madden and Bessie Burdette Madden.Mr. Madden was retired from Tenneco Auto Equipment Co. and was a member of the Hartwell Church of God.
Survivors include his wife: Juanita Madden of Toccoa; five sons: Jimmy Madden & Debra of Leeds AL, Billy Madden & Melissa and Lucky Madden & Chrissy all of Iva SC, Brian Dyer & Terre of Houston TX and Larry Dyer of Toccoa; a daughter: Sandra Arflin & Allen of Anderson SC; a brother: Ed Madden of Anderson SC; a sister: Jenny Madden Moyer of Anderson SC; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. Madden was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Joelley Madden.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell Church of God with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating.Entombment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson SC.
The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, where the family will receive friends until the funeral hour.
