Mr. Drew William Bailey, 55, of Will Bailey Road, Hartwell, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at his home.

Born on May 24, 1958 in Anderson SC, he was the son of Juanita Vickery Bailey and the late Dewey William Bailey.Mr. Bailey was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was a retired teacher from the Hart County School System.He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy, loved music and played several instruments.Mr. Bailey was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita V. Bailey of Hartwell; his wife, Megan McCurley Bailey of Hartwell; a sister, Sally B. Timmerman and her husband Michael of Suwanee GA; a nephew, Williams Bailey Timmerman and a niece, Bailey Lindsey Timmerman.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Black officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
