Obituary
Mrs. Druwillie McGee McCurley, 91, of New Prospect Church Rd, Hartwell, died Wednesday, July 16 at Peachtree Christian Hospice, Duluth GA.
Born on April 26, 1917 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Ervin McGee and Rosie Nixon McGee.She was a retired seamstress for Hartwell Company and a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons: Bennie F. McCurley and his wife Geralee of Alpharetta and Gary S. McCurley and his wife Teri of Dacula; a daughter: Connie McCurley-Wilson and her husband Harry of Hartwell; a daughter-in-law: Betty McCurley of Duluth; six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard W. McCurley; a son: William C. "Bill" McCurley two brothers: Theron McGee and Furman McGee and three sisters: Elizabeth Eavenson, Ruth Adams and Elzie Frye.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 17 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Wade Bridges and Rev. Paul Vickery officiating.Burial will be in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home – Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.The family is at their respective homes.
