Mr. Harmon Dwayne Saxon, 48, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Hartwell Health & Rehab following an extended illness.
Born September 5, 1969, in Augusta, he was the son of Edward Saxon and the late Barbara Joyce (Britt) Saxon. He worked at Dill's Food City in the meat department. He loved music and enjoyed playing in the Saxon Band with his brothers. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Bobbie Saxon and Tammy Kay.
He is survived by his father: Edward Saxon; son Jakob Saxon, and his fiancée: Bobbie Morrison; grandchildren: Joshua McQuay, Jakoby Saxon, and Jace Saxon; brothers & sisters-in-law: Stephan & Brandy Saxon and Eric & Susan Saxon; aunt: Betty Jean Jeffers; and sister: Michelle Karrer.
The funeral service will be held 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Clifford Shepherd officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
