Rev. Edward Chandler "E.C." Hart, age 84, of 427 Bio Lane, Hartwell, GA, died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.

Born March 2, 1923 in Franklin County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Epp "E.J." Hart and Maude Qualls Hart.He retired after 40 years as a Church of God Pastor. He was also a Brick Mason.He was a member of Price Chapel Church of God.Rev. Hart was former pastor at Price Chapel Church of God, Winder Church of God, Hollywood Grove Church of God and Turnerville Church of God.

His survivors include:Daughters, Linda Carey and her husband Henry of Hartwell, GA, and Deborah Hill and her husband Melvin of Dewy Rose, GA; Two brothers, Joe Hart of Royston, GA and L.A. Hart of Douglasville, GA; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also survives. He is preceded in death by 1st wife, Cuemi Bailey Hart and 2nd wife, Lois Tollison Hart; Brothers, Albert , Pete and George "Doc" Hart, 4 sisters, Ethel Chambers, Erna Osley, Edna Elrod and Clara Pulliam Rousey, and grandchild, Troy John Chandler Carey.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Price Chapel Church of God. Rev. Johnny Stowe will officiate.Burial will be in the New Bethel Holiness Church Cemetery.The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Henry and Linda Carey, 427 Bio Lane, Hartwell.
