Mr. James Edwin Crump, 75, of 421 Eagle Grove School Road, Canon, husband of Margaret Smith Crump, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, SC.
Born on January 24, 1937 in Commerce, GA, he was the son of the late J.H. Crump and Agatha Lunsford Crump. He was the owner of E & M Textile Supply Company and was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters: Sandy Briscoe and her husband, Don of Covington, GA, and Ashley Martin and her husband, Brad of Atlanta; one brother, Billy Crump of Canon; and two sisters: Bobbie McCurley and Vivian Langford both of Canon. Five grandchildren: Laura Briscoe, Katie Briscoe, Matthew Briscoe, Ryan Crump and Avery Martin also survive. Mr. Crump was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Jim Crump and Steven Crump; and one daughter, Dianne Seawright.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Joe Black officiating.
