Mr. Edward R. "Ed" Skelly, 88, of Goldmine Community, Bowman, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his home.

Born on September 16, 1936 in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of the late Jeremiah Skelly and Ruth Samuels Skelly.  Ed was retired from the Fire Department, City of New York, a member of the Coast Guard Flotilla #25, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  Ed was also a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Mr. Skelly wished to be cremated and his ashes placed in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Memorial Garden in Hartwell.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
