Thomas Edward "Eddie" Jordan, aged 77, of Lavonia, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Eddie was born on May 29, 1948, in Franklin County. He was the son of the late Robert Ira Jordan and Ruby Mae Westmoreland Jordan. A proud graduate of Franklin County High School, Eddie went on to serve his country honorably as a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Following his military service, Eddie enjoyed a fulfilling career as a pawnbroker with ABC Pawn until his retirement. He is fondly remembered by his children: Tommy Jordan and his wife Karen, Beth Jordan Bishop, and Bobby Jordan. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Kristin Webb, Faith Jordan, Juliane Payton and her husband Zachary, Grace Jordan, Tommy Jordan, Jr., and Camille Jordan.
In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda (Fulghum) Jordan, and his brothers, Jimmy, Roger, and Dennis Jordan.
A memorial service to celebrate Eddie's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Bruce McGee and Dr. Joe Renfro will officiate. The family will welcome friends and loved ones at the church from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the UCBC Cares Foundation (ucbccares.org) or Homes for Troops (hfotusa.org) in Eddie's memory. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Bristol Hospice of East Georgia for their compassionate care.
