Mrs. Edith McCannon Eaves, 82 of Liberty Hill Road, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at her home.

Born on June 30, 1934, in Danielsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer McCannon and Stella Drake McCannon.Mrs. Eaves was a retired seamstress from Bellcraft Mfg. and a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters: Kathy Wood of Bowersville, Karen Stacks of Hartwell; one daughter-in-law: Alice Eaves of Athens; five grandchildren: Jennifer Coile (Kevin), Michael Wood (Brandy), Kevin Ginn (Amy), Ryan Eaves (Carrie), Zachary Eaves (Liza); seven great-grandchildren: Cade Carter, Katelyn Carter, Jacob Coile, Daniel Wood, Jonathan Wood, Noah Eaves, and Shelby Eaves and four sisters: Katherine Branyon of Danielsville, Mary Ruth Evans of Hartwell, Sue McCannon of Winterville and Elizabeth Seigler of Bowman. Mrs. Eaves was reunited in glory by her parents; her husband: Franklin Delano "Frank" Eaves, two sons: David Eaves, Daniel Eaves and a son-in-law: Larry Wood.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with the Rev. Tommy Cleveland and Rev. John Silver officiating.Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Oak Bower Baptist Church, 1589 Old 29 Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
