Ms. Edith Chambers Mashburn of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Hart Care Center.

Born in Pickens SC, she was the daughter of the late John H. Chambers and Lue Holcombe Chambers.Ms. Mashburn was a certified caregiver for the elderly and was a CNA, working the nursing homes. She was a former member of the Wayside Baptist Church in Easley, SC. Ms. Mashburn loved gardening, flowers and working in her yard.

She is survived by a sister: Mary Ann Risner and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Mashburn is preceded in death by her brother: Glenn Chambers; and three sisters: Annie Mae Todd, Martha MaGaha, and Frances Shead.

Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.

Ms. Mashburn will lie in state at the graveside from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday for anyone to come by and pay their respects.Also anyone can leave their condolences and best wishes on Edith's tribute page by going to www.stricklandfh.com.

Graveside services for Ms. Edith Mashburn will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church, Pickens, SC with Rev. Roger Todd officiating.Everyone will be asked to practice Social Distancing, wear a mask and may want to bring a lawn chair.
