Ms. Edith Bussell Meade, age 84, of Hartwell, Georgia, formerly of Sandersville, died on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Hartwell.

Ms. Meade was born on October 28, 1935, in Washington County Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Henry Warthen Bussell and the late Evie Irene Brantley Bussell.She was a retired medical technician. She worked for Macon Hospital as a doctor's assistant. She was also active with the Washington County Senior Center, Warthen Community Center and Washington County Genealogical Research Center.Ms. Meade was a member of Warthen United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her children: Samuel Meade and his wife Cheryl of Cottondale FL, Elizabeth M. Smith and her husband Larry of Chattahoochee FL, Lisa M. Fisher and her husband Blake of Hartwell, Henry Meade of Chattanooga TN, Tim Meade and his wife Erin of Prattville AL, Shelia M. Burch and her husband Jim of Napoleon MI; fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry O. Bussell and his wife Phyllis of Warthen and Benny Bussell and his wife Mary Ellen of Sandersville also survive.
Ms. Meade was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Henrietta Lewis and Rachel Summerlin.

A Celebration of Life service for Ms. Edith Meade will be at a later date.
