Edna Nettie Villetto Godfrey, age 90, of Martin, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at the home of her son.

Born November 19, 1930 in Westerly, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late George Villetto and Nettie Edna Fuller. Prior to retirement, she owned and operated an antique store in Martin. Mrs. Godfrey was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by children: Sandra Pederson, James Godfrey (Cindy), and Laurie Welshans (Roger); grandchildren: Tiffany Brawner, Helena Stewart, Chris Godfrey, and Victoria Godfrey; and great-grandchild: Joshua Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Robert Godfrey; and daughter: Sheila Holcomb.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
