Mr. Edward T. Fulghum, 90, of Bowman Hwy, Hartwell GA, died peacefully, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Fellowship Health and Rehab in Anderson SC.
Born on August 31, 1922 in Lavonia GA, he was the son of the late Claude Fulghum and Emily Melissa Powell Fulghum.Mr. Fulghum was a farmer, of the Baptist Faith and a WW II U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include two sons: James Herman Fulghum and Thomas Edward "Junior" Fulghum both of Hartwell GA; three grandchildren: Michael Keith Fulghum, Kimberly Michelle Rankin and Melissa Carla Fulghum and three great-grandchildren: Vincent Fulghum, Keirian Rankin and Connor Rankin.Mr. Fulghum was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lucille Reed Fulghum; four brothers: R.C. Fulghum, Paul Fulghum, Julian Fulghum & John Rucker Fulghum and four sisters: Troyce Childs, Louise Hambrick, Sara Akins and Frances Kelly
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell GA with Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with military honors.
