Mary Edweena McGee Voyles, age 80, of Lavonia, passed away at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

Born on April 8, 1944, in Franklin County, Edweena was the daughter of the late Harold Shields McGee and Mary Sue Walters McGee. She dedicated many years of her life working at Pinnacle Bank, where she was a respected member of the operations team until her retirement.

Edweena was a devoted reader of the Bible, having read it from cover to cover fourteen times. Her passion for agriculture was evident through the many years she spent working on her family farm, especially raising calves. Additionally, she found joy in fishing and relished watching classic westerns.

Edweena is survived by her husband, W. C. Voyles, Jr.; her daughters, Page Voyles Segars (Michael Manley) and Patty Voyles Moseley; her grandchildren: Katelyn Spore (Jason), William Davis (Abby), Dylan Davis, Ezra Segars, and Hunter Moseley; and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Calvin McGee, and sister, Carlene Crunkleton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Bruce Moore. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Davis, William Davis, Michael Manley, Hunter Moseley, Ezra Segars, and Jason Spore. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
