Obituary
Mr. Edwin Stewart Byrum, 73, of Elberton Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his home.
Born on April 13, 1944 in Royston GA, he was the son of the late Stewart C. Byrum and Ruth Kisses Byrum.Mr. Byrum retired after 42 years of service from Tenneco Automotive, where he was a machinist.He was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and the McDoyle SS Class.
Mr. Byrum is survived by his wife: Betty Graham Byrum; two sons: Paul Byrum & Cindy and Richard Byrum & Alisa all of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Megan Norris, Crystal Hix, Mollie Byrum and Casidy Byrum and two great-grandchildren: Gracie Brown & Brody Hix.He is also survived by two half-sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Webb and Mr. Leslie Boles officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening.The family is at the home.
