Mrs. Effie G. Sanders Sanders, 90, of Woodlake Drive, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on January 2, 1928 in Bowersville GA, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Sanders and Myrtle Chastain Sanders.Mrs. Sanders was a retired seamstress for the Hartwell Company and a member of the Hartwell Church of God and a former member of the Goldmine Church of God.

Survivors include two daughters: Peggy Cromer, Sue Tallent (Dewitt); two sons: Steve Sanders (Patsy) and Doug Sanders (Betty) all of Hartwell; Three brothers: Thomas Sanders, of Easley, SC, Alvin Sanders of Piedmont, SC, Claude Sanders of Slidell, LA; four sisters: Ruth Bryant of Piedmont, SC, Sarah Rollins of Powdersville, SC, Ines Eaves of Hartwell and Doris Heining of Pickens, SC; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband: John Milton Sanders; two sisters: Mary Cape, Vera Eaves and one granddaughter: Ashley Cromer.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Rev. Gary Thompson officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.The family will be at the home of Dewitt and Sue Tallent, 132 River Valley Drive, Hartwell, GA 30643.
