Mrs. Elaine Hunt Foster, 84, of 805 Fairview Ave, Hartwell, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Hart Co. Hospital.

Born on June 4, 1926 in Clarkesville GA, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. Hunt and Essie Nix Hunt.She was a graduate of Piedmont College, where she received a BS in Science.She was a homemaker, member of the Fairviewers and a volunteer at the Hart Co. Clothes Closet.She was member of the Hartwell First Baptist Church and the Evangelon Sunday School Class.

Survivors include a son, Phil Foster and his wife Angie of Hartwell; two daughters, Kathie McCurley and her husband Eddie and Sandy Carlton and her husband John all of Hartwell; five grandchildren, Liza Dickson, Erin McCurley, Jack Foster, Hank Carlton and Meg Carlton and two great-grandchildren, Noah and Lainey Dickson also survive.Mrs. Foster was preceded death by her husband, Ellis D. Foster.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Dr. Steve Williams officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday morning.The family is at the home of Kathie and Eddie McCurley, 578 Homestead Rd, Hartwell.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First Baptist Church, 81 E.
