Mrs. Elaine Speers Kidd, 63, of Arabian Way, Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at her home.

Born on May 22, 1952 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of Doris Lois Brown Speers and the late Grady Speers.

Survivors include her mother: Doris Lois Brown Speers of Hartwell; two sons: Grady Lawrence of Easley, Redgel Lawrence of Anderson; one brother: Junior Speers of Hartwell; one sister: Diane Maxwell of Hartwell; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by her father: Grady Speers and her husband: Richard Murr.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 26, 2015, 3:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating.Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
