Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor Helene Kuckens Foster, age 76 of 203 Wilderness Point, Hartwell, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.
Born May 28, 1931 in Northport, Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Louis Kuckens and Ellie Wendorf Kuckens. She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Long Island, N.Y., and she attended Sharon Presbyterian and Faith Lutheran in Hartwell.
She is survived by: Husband, Adelbert "Bud" Foster of the home, son, John R. Foster, Wake Forest, N.C., daughter, Jacqueline L. Foster, Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., brother, Robert Kuckens, Bentonville, AR. Three grandchildren, Ryan, Julia and Anna Foster also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home-Hartwell Chapel. Rev. Lawton Daugherty and Rev. William Thurber will officiate. Mrs. Foster will be cremated after the service.
The body is at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. The family will be at the home.
