Mrs. Eleanor Ann Walters McCollum, age 76, of 80 Wayne Cir, Hartwell, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born on November 6, 1933 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Willie F. "Bill" Walters and Ruby Jordan Walters. Mrs. McCollum was a Homemaker and member of the River of Life Church where she served on various committees of the church.

She is survived by her sons, John L. Clark and Greg McCollum of Hartwell, Ga., and Ralph T. McCollum, Jr., of Buford, Ga., and daughter, Marie C. Maschek of Pickens, S.C., brother, Bob Walters of Lavonia, Ga., and sister, Louise Brock of Martin, Ga. Ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph T. McCollum, Sr., and brothers, Alton and Doug Walters.

Celebration of Life Services for Eleanor Ann W. McCollum will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the River of Life Church. Rev. Ken Buffington and Rev. Johnny Stowe will officiate with interment to follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The family will be at the home on Wayne Circle.
