Obituary

Mrs. Eleanor Thornton Page, 90, of 198 Smith Street, Hartwell, GA, died Monday, August 14, 2006 at her home.
Born April 27, 1916 in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sam H. Thornton and Annie Shanklin Thornton.She attended Hartwell High School and Shorter College.She retired from Hartwell High School as a Teacher.She was a member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church, Live Wire Sunday School Class, Lessie K. Page Group, Sunshine Club, Sojourners, Charter member of Hartwell Garden Club, Retired Teachers Association, AARP, Member of Northview Cemetery Board, and was Director of Hartwell Mills.
She is survived by:Son, Michael Page and his wife, Mary of Rome, GA; Two grandchildren, Wade Hampton Page and his wife, Heather of Columbus, OH and Davis Alexander of Rome, GA.She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James W. Page.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Northview Cemetery.Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate.The family will receive friends on Wednesday following the service at Hartwell First United Methodist Church. .
Memorials may be made to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 Howell Street, Hartwell, GA or to Methodist Children's Home, 500 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA30030.
