Elizabeth Carlene Anthony, affectionately known as "Lib," passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on Monday, February 10, 2025, at AnMed Health in Anderson, SC.

Born on March 11, 1944, in Hart County, Lib was the daughter of the late Martin and Sadie Carnes Anthony. She dedicated her professional life to serving as the medical record secretary for Dr. Ford. Lib was a member of the Providence Church at Shoal Creek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Anthony; her infant son, Timothy Donald Anthony; her brothers, William Anthony and Gordon Anthony; her nephew, David Powell; and her niece, Brenda Fulbright. She is survived by her sister, Patsy Powell Williams; her nephew, Tommy Fulbright; and several great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great-great-nephew.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the cemetery of Providence Church at Shoal Creek, where she will be laid to rest with her husband and son. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 p.m.
