Mrs. Elizabeth Jordan Hubbard, 85, of 694 Benson Street, Hartwell, GA, died Monday, June 01, 2009 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born May 26, 1924 in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Barton Jordan and Rosa Delle Wilder Jordan.She was a homemaker and a Clerk at Harry Marett Supermarket.She was a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church and the Nancy Hart Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by:Husband, George W. Hubbard, Son, George W. Hubbard, Jr and his wife Peggy of Lewisburg, TN; Daughter, Nancy H. Chandler and her husband Phil of Marietta, GA; Three grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by Parents; Brother, Leon Jordan and half brother Hoyt Jordan and a Sister, Aldyne J. Manley.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Carter Tucker will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 1117 Perimeter Center, W, Suite E101, Atlanta, GA30338.
