Mrs. Edna Elizabeth Jones Shaw, 85, of 108 Gloria Drive, Hartwell, GA, died Monday, August 11, 2008 at Hart Care Center.
Born September 19, 1922 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence P. Jones and Eva Clark Jones.She was a Homemaker and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Son, Jerry W. Shaw and his wife, Geraldine of Hartwell, GA; Daughter, Shirley Vickery and her husband Shelton of Hartwell, GA; Grandson, Gary Vickery; Grandchildren, Amanda Brown, Justin Vickery and Ally Vickery.She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joseph H. "Joe" Shaw.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel.Rev. Carter Tucker and Rev. Doug Brown will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 to 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Jerry and Geraldine Shaw, 68 Fred King Road, Hartwell, GA.
