Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Smith) O'Barr, age 83, of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at her home.
Born September 27, 1934, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late William Jasper Smith and Bessie Leola (Frady) Ranchich. She was a member of the Goldmine Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, other deceased family members include her husband: Jack Everett O'Barr; son: Tommy O'Barr; and sister: Willie E. Stamey.
She is survived by her daughter: Shalisha O'Barr; son: Johnny O'Barr; sister: Betty Jo Rausch; and grandchildren: Tonya O'Barr, Frankie Buffington, Jennifer Buffington, and Joni Pruitt.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Don Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the service.
