Mrs. Ellen Frye Campbell, age 89 of Fairview Avenue, Hartwell, Ga., formerly of Vickery St., died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at Hart County Hospital.

Born October 5, 1918 in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis Frye and Eula Neese Frye Brown. She was retired from Hartwell Elementary School as secretary-bookkeeper. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.

She is survived by: sons, Charles Donald Campbell of Waynesboro, VA., Terry Dean Campbell of Columbia, S.C., sister, Louise F. Majeski of Hartwell, Ga. Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Horace Jefferson Campbell, son, John Lewis Campbell and brother John Lewis Frye.

Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Carter Tucker And Rev. John Silver will officiate. Burial will be at Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1219, Hartwell, Ga. 30643

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening. The family will be at the home of Louise Majeski, 70 Somerset Court, Hartwell, Ga.
