Obituary
Mrs. Ellen Box Demonbreun, 92, of 1823 Ridge Road, Hartwell, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her home.
Born on November 15, 1919 in Hamlin, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Millard Frank Box and Ada Davis Box.Twice widowed, Mrs. Demonbreun was first married to Lee Odell Peacock and then to Herbert Lee Demonbreun.She was a homemaker and member of the First Assembly of God in Clarkesville, TN and attended Hartwell Alliance Church.
Survivors include one son, Gerald Demonbreun of Hartwell; two daughters: Opal J. Canarina of Hartwell and Betty L. Hayes of Marietta; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Demonbreun was preceded in death by her parents, and her two husbands.
A Hartwell memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 3 at 12 Noon at the Hartwell Alliance Church with Rev. Eddie Simmons officiating.
A Clarkesville memorial service will be held Saturday, June 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Clarkesville, TN with Pastor Louie Montoya officiating.
The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, special memorials can be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC29621.
