Mrs. Ellie Mae Spearman Hughes, 89, of 895 Ankerich Road, Bowersville, GA, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Conyers, GA.
Born November 10, 1919 in Madison Co, GA, she was the daughter of the late Beeman Spearman and Azalea Berryman Spearman.She was retired from Hart Care Center and was a L.P.N. for 46 years.She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Daughters, Patricia Wright of Bowersville, GA, Wilma Rudolph of Conyers, GA and Wanda Cook of Conyers, GA; Brothers, Clovis Spearman of Lillian AL and Billy Spearman of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; Three grandchildren, Seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Inez Nix.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church. Rev. Ben Coleman, Rev. Connie Mack Bowers and Rev. Gwinett Berryman will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church Building Fund, 3636 Lavonia Hwy., Hartwell, GA30643.
