Obituary

Mr. Elmer B. "Bud" Osborne, age 90, of Canon, passed away Saturday June 6, 2015 at Brown Health and Rehabilitation.
Born January 4, 1925, in Norcross Ga, he was the son of the late Larry and Lena (Partridge) Osborne. He was a machine adjuster with the US Envelope Company in Doraville. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, having served in Germany and France. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Laverne (Maddox) Osborne; sons and daughters in-law: Glen and Rachel Osborne, Dennis and Cherie Osborne; son: Wesley Osborne; daughter and son in-law: Lisa and Wayne Burnette; sibling: Maudie Tanner; 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings: Dixie, Mary, Thelma, Louie, Red, Blue, Larry and WP.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015, at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Herndon officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mr. Osborne to the Wounded Warriors Project http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org
