Mr. Elwin Wesley LeBarron, 88, of Parkdale Drive, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home.

Born on December 28, 1926 in Corinth, NY, he was the son of the late Elwin E. LeBarron, Sr and Mary Jones LeBarron.Mr. LeBarron was a retired plant engineer with the United Technology and of the catholic faith. He also was a US Navy veteran serving in the Pacific theater during WWII


Survivors include his wife: Sophie Hoffman LeBarron: two sons: John LeBarron and his wife Carol of Harlem, GA, James "Jim" LeBarron and his wife Jody of Hartwell; two daughters: Cindy L. Harlow of Hartwell and Lorraine LeBarron of Bullhead City, AZ; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and one sister: Patricia Brust of Middlegrove, NY.Mr. LeBarron was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Bill LeBarron, Paul LeBarron, Kenneth LeBarron, Frank LeBarron, Ralph LeBarron, Ronald LeBarron and one sister: Jean Atkins.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton GA with military honors.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1720 Epps Bridge Pkwy, Athens GA 30606.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
