Mrs. Emilee (Hembree) Hallford, age 87, of Lavonia, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born February 26, 1925 in Martin, she was the daughter of the late T. C. & Bertha (Stovall) Hembree. She retired from Coats & Clark and had worked as a waitress. Mrs. Hallford was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Gregg & Cathy (Dalrymple) Hallford of Lavonia; grandchildren: Crystal Hamilton, Chesley Hallford, & Amber Carlton; great grandchildren: Reece & Reagan Hamilton, Ellie Hallford & Saylor Carlton; and Sister: Leone Brock.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Ross Hallford; and brothers: Basil Hembree, Ellis Hembree, Henry Hembree, Woodrow Hembree & Melvin Hembree.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jason DeFoor & Rev. Fred Young officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home.
