Mrs. Emma Mae Simpson, 76, of 112 Woodlake Circle, Hartwell, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at her home.
Born on August 14, 1936 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Columbus White and Cora Bailey White.She was a retired inspector for Springs Industries and was a member of the Hartwell Church of Christ.
Survivors include her two sons: Randall Simpson and his wife Cindy of Hartwell, Mike Simpson of Bowersville; one daughter, Lisa Evans and her husband Billy Ray of Hartwell; one brother, Jim White and his wife Frances of Canon; two sisters: Dot Fowler and her husband Roy of Hartwell, Ruby McCoy and her husband Buddy of Anderson; five grandchildren: Jeffery Simpson and his wife Angel, Jason Simpson, Josh Simpson and his wife Laura Beth, Marie Simpson, and Sam Simpson; two great-grandchildren: Tori Simpson and Landen Simpson.Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Simpson; a son, Dale Simpson; four brothers:George White, Joe White, Curt White, Gary White; one sister, Margie Richardson; and a daughter-in-law, Tonnie Simpson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Evangelist Aubrey Prestige officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.The family is at the home of Mike Simpson, 322 Jud Cole Road, Bowersville.
