Mrs. Emma LeCroy Snow, age 89, of 103 Sterling Drive – Hartwell, died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born July 8, 1918, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Vesta (Fleming) LeCroy. She retired from Hart County High School, where she was a lunchroom worker and Cafeteria Manager. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church, the Ladies Sunday School Class, and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include sons: Bill Snow of Columbus, Jerry Snow of Hartwell, and Gary Snow of Jacksonville, FL; brothers: Howard LeCroy of Hartwell, Alton LeCroy of Portsmouth, RI, and Leonard LeCroy of Charleston, SC; sisters: Jean Franklin of Hartwell and Sarah Bond of Silver Spring, MD; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents; husband: John Quincy Snow; son: Jimmy Gregory Snow; daughter: Gloria Ann Snow; brothers: P.G. LeCroy, Andy LeCroy, and Charles LeCroy, Jr.; and sisters: Ruth Blalock, Eula M. Gibson, Blanche Scoggins, and Jo Ann LeCroy.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Kring officiating. Burial will follow in Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday night.The family is at the home.
