Obituary
Mr. Ennis Lawrence Weldon, 83 of Franklin Springs Street, Royston, GA, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Levi Weldon and Willie Rumsey Weldon.He was retired from Clark-Schwebel Inc.He was a member of Evergreen Hills Baptist Church in Anderson, SC and was a US Navy WWII Veteran, served in the Pacific Theater, USS Leedstown APA-56.
Survivors include:Sons, Steven Weldon of Clemson, SC, and Mark Weldon of Pendleton, SC; Sister, Cecil Baker of Hartwell, GA, Two grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.He is preceded in death by wife, Virgie Ruth White Weldon; Brothers, Hardy Weldon and Dorsey Weldon.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Anderson, SC.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 2 – 5:00 p.m.The body will be cremated after the visitation.The family is at their respective homes.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1353 Jennings Mill Rd., Suite A, Bogart, GA 30622 or to American Diabetes Association, 16-A Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC29615.
