Obituary
Mr. Enrico Beretta, 69, of Horse Trail, Martin, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his home.
Born on September 11, 1944 in Torino Italy, he was the son of Oscar Alfredo Beretta and Isabella Ottini Beretta. Mr. Beretta was married to Chantal Balmforth for 42 years.He had three children, Florence, Alice and Eric, and four grandchildren, Jack, Eli, Henry and Genevieve.
He was Owner & President of Modular Container Systems in Lavonia. He was an avid bridge player and had reached the rank of Diamond Life Master.He exceled in showing Arabian horses and equestrian events, as well as in sport shooting.He enjoyed hunting and golf and was a food & drink connoisseur.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Mr. Beretta wished to be cremated and his ashes returned to Italy.
Following the visitation, Mr. Beretta's life will be celebrated at Skeeter Branch Hunting Preserve, 395 Holbrook Road, Lavonia, GA from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
