Mr. Eric Halgand Chapman, 45, of 145 Pennie Lane, Hartwell GA, died Sunday, May 17 at Hart County Hospital.

Born on August 10, 1963 in Hart Co GA, he was a 1981 graduate of Hart Co. High School.He attended Emmanuel College and graduated from Spartanburg Tech.Eric was a partner in Chapman Appraisal Service of Hartwell.He was a former member of the Hartwell Lions Club and a member of the Hartwell Ski Club.He was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, Spares & Pairs Sunday School Class and Disciple 1 Bible Study.

Survivors include his parents, Wilber Kay Chapman and Liliane Halgand Chapman of Hartwell; a son, Tyler Chapman of the home; a daughter, Breanna Chapman of the home; several aunts and uncles and a special friend, "little sister" and co-worker, Stephanie Swaney.He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Evans Chapman; maternal grandparents, Honore and Jeanne Halgand and paternal grandparents, Wilber and Myra Kay Chapman.

Funeral services will Wednesday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart, Rev. Witt Chapman and Rev. Troy Ayers officiating.Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 200 E. Howell St., Hartwell, GA30643.
