Mrs. Ethel Elaine (Martin) Tolliver, 68, of Bowersville, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home.
Born May 23, 1949, in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Arthur and Delpha Esther (Farley) Martin. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter: Michele Grizzle; son: Michael Lee Tolliver, Jr.; sisters: Carlene Farley and Lynn Farley; brothers: John Martin and Lewis Martin; grandchildren: Corey Tolliver, Leah McDuffie, Tiphanie Cheek, Tencie Grizzle, Selena Grizzle, Michael Grizzle, Christopher Grizzle, Benjamin Grizzle, Nathaniel Grizzle, Kaitlyn Drake and Lauren Drake; great grandchildren: McKenzie McDuffie and Grayson Cheek; and her companion: Jimmy Tabor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Michael Lee Tolliver, Sr.; and a daughter: Melinda May Hatcher.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home of her daughter Michele Grizzle.
