Mr. Eugene Milton Mull, 82, long-time resident of Newport News, VA, passed away peacefully to the next life Sunday, August 14, 2011 with his beloved wife by his side.He was the son of Eugene Mull, Sr. and Annie Pearl Carey Mull, of Anderson, SC.

Eugene was a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran, having served the nation in the U.S. Army for 25 years.He was a federal civil service employee at the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station for 10 years.He was a 50 year member of Army & Navy Masonic Lodge #306 A.F.& A.M. where he participated in Shriner benefit walks and parades and was also a life member of VFW.He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartwell, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fay; and his sons, Dennis Wayne and wife, Jean of Fort Lee, Virginia and Gary Eugene and wife, Mary Ann of Plant City, Florida; along with nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou Mewborn of Hartwell, Georgia; sister-in-law, Kay Riley and brother-in-law, Jerry Edwards, both of Virginia.

Floral tributes are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran of Foreign Wars Department of Virginia Cancer Aid and Research.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Interment will follow in the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson, South Carolina.
