Mrs. Eugenia Chitwood LeCoq, 84, of Hart Terrace, Hartwell, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Greene Point Health & Rehab, Union Point GA.
Born on June 27, 1930 in Lavonia GA, she was the daughter of the late Arvin L. Chitwood and Lula Watkins Chitwood.Mrs. LeCoq was previously a member of Mt. Olivet Church of God for a number of years and later transferred her membership to Price Chapel Church of God and was a member of the Hartwell VFW Ladies Auxiliary.Eugenia always enjoyed helping others and spending time with family.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter: Betty L. Taylor and her husband Wayne of White Plains GA; also two sons: Danny Chitwood and Douglas Chitwood both of Hartwell; two brothers: Shelton A. Chitwood and Lonnie Chandler Chitwood both of Hartwell; a granddaughter: Jill Matthews and her husband Billy; three grandsons: Adam Taylor and wife his Lauren, Shawn Chitwood and Patric Chitwood; two great-grandchildren: Ella & Sadie Matthews and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.Mrs. LeCoq was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence LeCoq; two brothers: Frank Chitwood and Virgil Chitwood and five sisters: Geraldine Austin, Rolvie McCollum, Willie Brown, Ruth Chitwood and Pauline Chitwood.
Graveside services will be Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Rev. Benson Bottoms officiating.
