Mrs. Geneva Wade "Eve" Sutton, 79, of Higginbotham Road, Canon, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens.

Born on August 10, 1945 in Versailles KY, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Rorak Wade.  Mrs. Sutton was a graduate of Brenau University and a retired teacher for the Elbert Co. School System.

Survivors include her husband: Sam Sutton; three sons: William Sutton of Hartwell, Clayton Sutton (Misty) of Carnesville and Chris Sutton (Mandi) of Canon; four grandchildren: Quinton Sutton, Payton Sutton, Zach Sutton and Walker Sutton and a great-grandson: Ian Sutton.  Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Carolyn Brannock and Lucille Lyons.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
