Miss Evelyn Claire Holland, age 89, of 45 Walnut St., formerly of Athens St., Hartwell, died Wednesday, April 02, 2008 at Lake Pointe Assisted Living.

Born on May 22, 1918 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edwin "Dutch" Holland and Anna Claire Linder Holland.She was retired from the Hart Co. ASCS office, former member of the Hartwell Women's Club, Nancy Hart Garden Club and the John Benson Chapter of the DAR.She was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, Live Wire SS Class and the Sallie Harper Circle of the UMW.

Miss Holland was the last surviving member of her immediate family.She was preceded in death by her special friend, Clay F. Bell.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating.Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery.The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Friday.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
