Mrs. Evelyn Ridgeway Burton Howell, 97, of Legion Street, Easley, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her home.

Born on July 4, 1920 in Royston GA, she was the daughter of the late John Robert Ridgeway and Elsie Burks Ridgeway.Mrs. Howell was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sisters: Mollie Ray of Bowersville, Melba Tucker of Easley, SC; one brother: Sam Ridgeway of Conover, NC and one grandchild. Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her first husband: Joe Robert Burton, second husband: George R. Howell; and one son: John B. Howell.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Sean Payne officiating.Burial will be in the Redwine United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the service.The family will be at their respective homes.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
