Evelyn Faye Wood Sanders, age 75, of Bowersville, passed away at her home Monday, May 19, 2025.

Born March 15, 1950, in Fair Play, SC, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Lillian Wood. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing as long as her health allowed. Evelyn was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Dewy Rose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Brian Sanders; brothers, Howard Wood, Mack Wood, Clyde Wood, and Andrew Wood; and sisters, Margaret Wood Taylor and Linda Wood Gentry.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Clayton Sanders; son, Christopher Mark Sanders (Shasta); daughter, Patricia Elaine Vaughn (Darrell Dooley); grandchildren, Tyler Vaughn, Makayla Sanders, and Damorius Dooley; and brothers, L.T. Wood, Randy Wood, and Gary Wood.

Honoring Evelyn's wishes, she was cremated, and a private family remembrance will be held to celebrate her life. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Victory Baptist Church, located at 2434 Bowman Hwy, Dewy Rose, GA 30634.
