Everette Eugene "Bud" Sisk, age 85, of Canon, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Comer Health & Rehab.
Born March 21, 1933, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Jefferson Davis Sisk and Serelda Elizabeth "Rhellie" (O'Donald) Sisk. He was a farmer and a member of Double Branches Baptist Church.
He is the last survivor of his immediate family; in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Fred Sisk and J. D. Sisk, Jr.; and sisters: Evelyn Sisk, Mary Lee Voyles, Essie Mae Blackwell, Lorene Earwood, Bobbie Nicklaus, and Louise Bagwell. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Hubert Carter and Mr. Tim Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
