IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Faire Thomason
Teasley
June 22, 1944 – October 30, 2023
Mrs. Faire Gwendolyn Thomason Teasley, 79, peacefully entered into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family and friends on Monday, October 30, 2023.
She was born on June 22, 1944, in Hart County, Ga., to Winfred and Kathryn Sanders Thomason. She lived a full and vibrant life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to so many. Faire was a beauty inside and out. She was crowned Miss Lavonia High as a sophomore. After graduation in 1962 she always remained close with her classmates whom she deeply appreciated.
When she met Dean Teasley, her sweetheart and love of her life, at age 15, it was love at first sight for both. They married when she was 18 in 1962 and together, they enjoyed a wonderful life, ending each day holding hands as they went to sleep. Their love story was featured in The Hartwell Sun this Valentine's Day, and they celebrated their 60th anniversary last November 11, 2022.
She delighted in asking everyone if they had ever met a real-life fairy. No one was quite like her. She accomplished so much in her professional and personal life. She was exuberant and highly successful in all she did. As a designer and representative with the HODA Company, she was top salesman in the nation and awarded a trip to Hawaii where she and Dean even charmed the stars of Hawaii-50. She excelled professionally as a real estate broker with her company, American Heritage Realty, created in 1986.
She shared her gift of beautiful design as owner of her florist, Angel Wings. She loved entertaining people and being a hostess. Their home at 440 E. Howell Street showcased her flair and was shared on the Hartwell Tour of Homes and for many community meals and events. She loved to spend time with family and friends, her flower gardens and playing games. She was the Rook Champion of the Wade Adams tournament many years.
Dean and Faire were recently awarded the Mary Ellen Childree Legacy Award by the Georgia 9th District GOP for their lifelong remarkable support. She and Dean were founding members of Cornerstone Baptist Church which was established in 1994 at their home in Hartwell. She especially loved to share her relationship with Jesus and took great pride in her family.
