James Faron Carter, "Faron", age 54, passed away July 8, 2009 at Stephens County Hospital due to cardiac arrest stemming from complications of internal bleeding. Faron was born on January 4, 1955 in Atlanta. He was a graduate of the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Economics. He and his wife owned and operated Color Comps, Inc. for thirty years. Faron was preceded in death by his parents James Ray and Dot Carter of Lavonia. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda, and their two daughters, Britany Carter and Amber Westmoreland, son-in-law Steve Westmoreland, granddaughter Hailey and his sister Delinda Carter. A viewing will be held Saturday, July 11 from 2pm until the funeral hour at Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia, with funeral service to follow at 4pm. A private graveside will follow the service.
