Mrs. Laura Faye Meador Daniel, 87, of Hartwell, formerly of Acworth, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Residences at Park Place in Seneca, SC.

Born on April 12, 1937 in Atco, GA, she was the daughter of the late Irby McGee Meador and Beatrice Smith Meador. Mrs. Daniel was a homemaker and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Acworth, GA.
Faye took great pride in her homemaking skills, and was known to be tidy to a fault. Not only working to keep her home in ship shape, she was also always diligent to do whatever necessary to ensure that her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, or any child in her care were safe, well-fed, and warm (as in, if it was below 75, you needed a long sleeve, if it was below 70, you needed a jacket, or you were going to get sick). There was nothing that she loved more than to have all her family together in one place.

Survivors include her daughter: Stephanie Crump (Steve) of Hartwell; one son: Gary D. Daniel (Tammie) of Gray, TN; one brother: Dillard Meador (Martha) of Acworth, GA; one sister-in-law: Catherine Meador of Acworth, GA; four grandchildren: Matthew Daniel, Alex Daniel, Lacey Crump, Ethan Crump; and two great-grandchildren: Reagan Daniel and Stevie Gordon. Mrs. Daniel is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Noel Herbert "Herb" Daniel; one brother: Linford Meador; one sister: Patrice Hamby; and one brother-in-law: Hoover Hamby.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N Main St, Acworth, GA 30101. At other times the family will be at their respective homes.

It was Mrs. Daniel's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Acworth, GA. Her ashes will be interred at the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth, GA.
